cool home made front derailleur

I ran across this front derailleur on Cyclops bike blog and I thought it was pretty exotic and I would like to have one on my bike. It is a take on the Goeland front derailleur(the chain link), the Alex Singer(wire, spoke cage), and Rene Herse(telescoping square).

May is National bike month, events in Philadelphia

Well May is National Bike Month and the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia has a bunch of events planned- from urban riding basics, to mural tour by bike, and more. I realize we are halfway through the month, but late is better than never. Right?
