1960s alloy bells for sale

We stumbled upon a box of anodized aluminum 1960s-1970s German bells. new old stock. They are $20 each. Appropriate to mount to the stem of your vintage racer and they have a great tone.

Leaving Paris, with bells on.

At Charles de Gaulle airport, TSA screening my carryon luggage notices a bunch of metal circular items with little gears. She asks me to explain. I say- "oh those are bells..." to a blank stare. "ring ring?"
Nothing.
"oh," I say, "sonnettes!"
Ah, voila! Oui, ok!

I am bringing back to the starts at least a dozen vintage French bells, some chainrings, waterbottles, cycling caps, and a Rebour drawing or two.

Snake Bell, excellent accessory for any bicycle

This is a super cool bell made by New Departure, of coaster brake bicycle hub fame. They first started out as New Departure Bell Co. in 1888 and later started producing bicycle hubs, and even later automobile parts. This bell was made around the turn of the century and it is very rare to find it with the "ruby" eyes still intact.
