For Sale: New Departure Model D coaster brake hub with 2 speed conversion

     Rare item offered today for sale. New Departure model D coaster brake hub with complete 2 speed conversion. 36 hole drilling. Shell and coaster arm appear to be new old stock. Blacked out for the war time effort. These were offered in the 1940's- 1950's as an upgrade to the popular single speed Model D hubs. This has the earlier shifter which clamps to the top tube as well as the pulley wheel which also clamps to the top tube close to the seat tube. Later versions place the shifter on the handle bars. Cable length is 34 3/4" long. Hub currently has a 12 tooth inch pitch cog attached, which can be switched out or removed completely. Recently overhauled and is in great working order. All hardware turns freely. Cost is $300.00 for everything plus shipping and handling which will have to be calculated depending on location. Local pick up is good too.
